Simple and perfect. Apples, honey, lemon, and a hint of cinnamon. This is a great, healthy way to satisfy a sweet tooth! Like apple pie without the crust.

Ingredients

  • 5 green apples
  • 3 red apples
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 c honey (or agave nectar)
  • 3 1/2 c water

Instructions

  1. Wash and chop apples.
  2. Place apples in a large saucepan with remaining ingredients.
  3. Heat over medium-high until bubbling, then reduce heat to medium low and continue simmering uncovered for about 90 minutes (longer if you want it softer, less if you want a chunkier applesauce).
