Ingredients
1 lb frozen cherries
~2 c flour, divided
1/2 c powdered sugar
12 Tbsp salted butter
1 pinch salt
1/4 c sugar
1 1/2 tsp sugo salt
Instructions
- Melt butter. Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Mix 1 3/4 c flour with 1/2 c powdered sugar and pinch of salt. Add melted butter and mix JUST UNTIL COMBINED. Err on the side of undermixing, if you are unsure!
- Spread with fingers evenly into a pie or tart pan (or really any pan). Pierce with a fork all over, so steam can escape while cooking.
- Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes.
- While crust is baking, halve the frozen cherries. Toss with 1/4 c sugar, 1 1/2 tsp sugo salt, and 1 Tbsp flour.
- When crust is done, pour in the cherry mixture. It might seem too tall; don't worry! It will reduce as it bakes.
- Return to the oven for 35 minutes.
- Cool and serve!
