classic bean dip

ThisΒ classic bean dipΒ has a perfectly balanced, nostalgic flavor that makes you want to keep going back. Plus, it's made with only a handful of simple, whole food ingredients, and the beans pack in great protein and fiber.

The first time I cooked this recipe, I ate it all in one sitting, and I felt so good about it. Need we say more?

  • 1 can (about 1 1/2 cups) beans (pinto or black)
  • 2 tsp faco belle seasoning

  • 1 Tbsp hot sauce
  • 1/4+ c water
  • Optional: cheese, pickled jalapenos, onion, etc... on top to serve

Instructions

  1. Combine beans, 2 tsp faco belle, 1 Tbsp lime juice, 1 Tbsp hot sauce, and about 1/4 c water in a blender or immersion blender cup. Blend until smooth.
  2. Transfer to a small saucepan or skillet. Heat over medium, stirring until bubbly. (If you prefer to heat in the oven, transfer to an oven-safe dish and heat at 350 until bubbly, about 15 minutes)
  3. Put in your serving dish and add desired toppings.
