Pinto beans + faco belle seasoning is a flavorful match made it heaven. Enjoy them on their own, in a taco or burrito, or scrambled with eggs for breakfast. Amazing as the base of your huevos rancheros!

Ingredients
1 lb dry pinto beans
1.5 Tbsp faco belle seasoning (1.5 Tbsp)
2 Tbsp cooking fat - butter, bacon grease, olive oil, etc... your choice!
1 Tbsp veggie bouillon + 3 c water (or 3 c stock)
Instructions
You can use a pressure cooker, stovetop, or crockpot / slow cooker for this recipe!
For crock pot or slow cooker -
- Soak the beans overnight (or at least 8 hours); put the beans in a medium/large bowl and fill with water. You want the water much higher than the beans. When it's time to cook the beans, drain this water.
- Put the soaked beans, 1.5 Tbsp faco belle seasoning, 2 Tbsp fat of choice, and 1 Tbsp veggie bouillon + 6 c water (or 4 c broth + 2 c water) in the crock pot.
- Put lid on. Cook over low heat for 8-10 hours, or until cooked as desired. Add more water if needed.
For pressure cooker or instant pot -
- Put the dry beans, 1.5 Tbsp faco belle seasoning, 2 Tbsp fat of choice, and 1 Tbsp veggie bouillon + 3 c water (or 3 c broth) in the pot.
- Seal. Cook over normal/high pressure for 45-50 minutes. Allow to natural pressure release.
For stovetop -
- Soak the beans overnight - put the beans in a medium/large bowl and fill with water. You want the water much higher than the beans. When it is time to cook the beans, drain this water.
- Put the soaked beans, 1.5 Tbsp faco belle seasoning, 2 Tbsp fat of choice, and 1 Tbsp veggie bouillon + 6 c water (or 4 c broth + 2 c water) in the pot.
- Put lid on. Cook over medium heat for 40-60 minutes, or until cooked as desired. Add more water if needed.
