fruit salad with sugo

Fruit salad is so refreshing, but often thought of as overly sweet and mushy and just... blah. Not anymore! sugo salt will lift your fruit salad to a new level. She will soar above all other fruit salads and land right in your mouth, and the mouths of all your adoring friends. You'll be famous for your fruit salad. We'll keep the secret ingredient between us.

Think seasonal for this flexible dish - apples, pomegranate, oranges, plums in the fall; peaches, melon, and berries in the summer. You'll find the fruits are more flavorful when in season and fresh!

Ingredients

  • fresh fruits (we love grapes, blueberries, oranges, kiwi, apple, mango, pineapple, coconut, melon, any will do!)
  • sugo salt

Instructions

  1. Chop fresh fruits into bite-sized pieces. We like to halve grapes, if using.
  2. Mix all fruits together in a shallow serving dish. Sprinkle with sugo salt. Don't dump it on, but also don't be shy.

If you let the fruit salad sit with the sugo salt on it, you may notice the fruits start to release their moisture. This is okay, it's because the salts are drawing out the water from the fruit! You may even start to notice deeper flavor as this happens.
