jalapeno ranch dip + sauce

Inspired by the original cult favorite sauce at Chuy's in Austin, our jalapeno ranch dip + sauce is zippy, bright, and herby. It'll bring a ton of yummy flavor and texture to your next meal or snack. Get creative! Tacos and chips are classic substrate, but raw carrots are transformed by this dip. It's also great on other veggies, salads, chicken nuggets, pizza, bowls, eggs...Β

This dip can be made with greek yogurt (for added protein bonus) or sour cream. If you have both on hand, we recommend a combo, but it will turn out great either way.

jalapeno ranch dip + sauce

Ingredients

The below recipe makes about a cup of dip, you can always halve or double if desired.

  • 1 c greek yogurt or sour cream (or a combination, we do 1/2 c of each usually)
  • 1/2 - 1 jalapeno (leave the seeds if you want it spicy, remove the seeds if you want it more mild but with great jalapeno flavor)
  • 1/2 lime, juiced
  • 2 Tbsp ranch it up seasoning
  • Optional: a couple sprigs of cilantro; it's great without it if you don't have cilantro, don't like it, or just don't want to buy it for this one recipe

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender or immersion blender cup.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Taste. If it's too spicy, add more yogurt/sour cream. If you want more overall flavor, add more ranch it up. If you want it thicker, add more yogurt/sour cream. If you want it thinner, add a splash of milk or water.
