Our favorite mashed potatoes are buttery, peppery, and perfectly seasoned - just like these putz pepper mashed potatoes. We like them rustic style with the skins on, but feel free to peel if you prefer!

Ingredients

Scale this recipe as needed for more or fewer servings!

4 large potatoes (we use russet normally)
6 T butter (salted)
1/2 c milk (or unsweetened non-dairy milk)
1/2+ tsp salt
2 tsp putz pepper

Instructions

  1. Dice potatoes. Add to salted water and bring to a boil. Cook until tender. Drain and cool slightly.
  2. Add 6 Tbsp butter, 1/2 c milk, 1/2 tsp salt, and 2 tsp putz pepper to the hot potatoes. Mash. Taste and add more milk, salt, putz pepper, or butter as you desire!
