We always thought making refried beans required much more effort than making regular beans. But, turns out we were wrong. It just takes a few extra minutes! You smash up cooked beans, add seasoning and extra liquid, and fry them up a bit. Voila! We suggest our faco belle blend to give your refried beans a robust, irresistible flavor.Β 

Homemade refried beans are amazing because they pack so much flavor and you can make them just how you like! If you want them chunkier, stop mashing sooner. For smoother, runnier beans, add extra water and spend a few more minutes working the beans. It will all taste amazing!

Ingredients

1.5-2 cups cooked beans (canned or home-cooked)
1+ tsp faco belle
water
1-2 Tbsp butter or other cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Mash beans with a fork. Add faco belle and mix.
  2. Add water to your desired consistency.
  3. Heat a skillet or pot over medium heat. Add butter or cooking oil. Add beans and cook until bubbly, adding more water as needed/desired.
