Ingredients
- 1 c oats (steel cut or rolled)
- water (1.5 cups for steel cut, 1 cup for rolled oats)
- milk or a non-dairy alternative (1.5 cups for steel cut, 1 cup for rolled oats)
- 1 Tbsp salted butter
- 3 tsp salted vanilla maple sugar, divided
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine oats with water, milk, butter, and 1.5 tsp salted vanilla maple sugar.
- Bring to a boil and cook until oats are soft - about 5 minutes for rolled oats and 15-20 minutes for steel cut.
- Turn off heat and stir in the remaining 1.5 tsp salted vanilla maple sugar. Sprinkle with more salted vanilla maple sugar to serve, if desired.
