Salmon is a powerhouse food, packing a ton of protein and healthy fats. Simply seasoning with veggie umami + sugo salt and broiling creates a flavorful, delicious anchor protein around which you can build a meal.Β
Our hot (cold) tip: individually frozen salmon fillets are easy to thaw for a quick meal within minutes. Costco is our favorite source for wild caught, individually-frozen fillets.Β
- salmon
- veggie umami
- sugo salt
- Place the fish on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Season thawed fish well with veggie umami. If your salmon has skin, just season the side without skin. If not, season both sides. We never measure, but would ballpark about 1/4-1/2 tsp of veggie umami per fillet.
- Add sugo salt to only the top side of the fillet. Again, we never measure, but about 1/4 tsp per fillet.
- Broil for 9-13 minutes, depending on thickness of fillet, until internal temp is 145 F.
