sugo mac n cheese

Jazz up any mac n cheese! We like to call this one "su-mac n cheese" - because of the dried sumac inΒ sugo salt, which adds a really interesting acidic lift to the whole dish. Paired with the gochugaru flakes in sugo, which bring a peppery flavor and subtle heat, you might never want to go back to life before su-mac n cheese.Β

Because cheese tempers the heat of the gochugaru flakes, this one is approachable for even the spice sensitive. But add more if you want to punch up the heat!

sugo mac n cheese

Ingredients

  • your favorite box mac n cheese (or make it from scratch, queen!)
  • sugo salt

Instructions

  1. Cook the mac n cheese according to instructions.
  2. Stir in sugo salt to taste - we recommend starting with about 1 tsp, stirring, and tasting. You can always add more!
  3. If you're making food for a group and are unsure, you can omit the sugo when mixing. Serve out individual portions of the prepared mac n cheese, then let everyone add the sugo salt to their individual preferene!
