sugo, turkey and cheese sandwich

The classic turkey and cheese combination, sprinkled liberally with sugo salt and toasted to perfection. We love ours on an english muffin, finished with arugula after heating. Butter the bread for an extra treat, add mustard or mayo if that's your thing, use any greens you have (or leave them off). Pickles? Yum. Really, do whatever you want - that's the important thing here.

Bonus - take your little sandwich for a leisurely sunshine walk, or eat it outside in the fresh air! We love how this feels, like a casual picnic treat for yourself.

Ingredients

  • turkey
  • cheese
  • sugo salt
  • bread of choice (or english muffin, wrap, etc...)
  • any other sandwich ingredients you wish (greens, mustard, pickles, mayo, butter for the toast, dealer's choice)

Instructions

Gather the ingredients and assemble your sandwich, sprinkling with lots of sugo salt along the way.

We like to lightly toast the bread, butter it, then add the turkey, cheese, and sugo salt; then we re-toast to melt the cheese and heat the turkey. When it comes out, we add the crispy cool greens.
