blackened shrimp tacos

Easy, classic, and absolutely bursting with flavor... we love blackened shrimp tacos! This dish only takes about 15 minutes to whip up, for one or a group. We love served with carley's cabbage slaw - which can be mixed while the shrimp cook.

Reminder: don't forget the tortillas! The number of times I've gone to the store for taco ingredients and forgotten tortillas is astounding.ย

Ingredients

Shrimp (I usually buy deveined, so I don't have to do it myself)
blackened seasoning
Cooking fat (butter, ghee, olive oil, tallow, etc...)
Tortillas
Toppings: avocado, slaw, cilantro, salsa, cheese, sugo salt, lime, etc...

Instructions

  1. Season shrimp with blackened seasoning, 2-3 tsp seasoning per pound of shrimp.
  2. Heat skillet over medium-high heat. Adding cooking oil. Add seasoned shrimp.
  3. Cook for 3-5 minutes per side, depending on size.
  4. Assemble tacos with desired toppings! We love slaw and avocado + a little sugo salt.
