classic breakfast sausage patties

Ingredients

  • Ground meat (chicken, turkey, beef, pork, plant-based ground meat alternative, etc...)
  • classic sage blend (1.5 TBSP per pound of ground meat)

Instructions

  1. Mix ground meat with classic sage blend (1.5 TBSP per pound of meat or meat alternative) until spices are well-distributed.
  2. Form into patties and flatten (about 1/2 inch thick). We usually make 8 patties per lb (about 2 oz each), but feel free to make yours larger or smaller! You can't go wrong.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add butter or other cooking oil, then add 1 layer of sausage patties.
  4. Cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until browned and heated to an internal temperature of 165 F. Repeat for additional batches as necessary.

Freeze extras and reheat in your toaster oven (or microwave) for a fast, effortless, flavorful protein snack any time!
